Designed to bring joy to patients and staff alike
An environment that would put children at ease was a primary goal for the remodel of this facility. Additionally, integrating the special character of the surrounding mountain community into the design was important to the staff members.
Bringing joy to children in a soothing way was central to our design. Imagery of baby animals as well as fun shapes and familiar colors in the furniture and surfaces provide a welcome distraction to a potentially anxiety-filled experience. Artwork depicting regional nature gives nod to the surrounding community, as well as flora and fauna patterns seen in fabrics and materials. Care was taken to specify materials and furnishings that are extremely durable and easy to clean and maintain.
